Wine Storage Solutions, the UK supplier of Transtherm Wine Storage Cabinets, have closed down their old website at www.transtherm-uk.com and have launched a brand new site at: www.winess.co.uk.

The business is no longer dealing exclusively with Transtherm products as they are now the sole UK distributor for Smartcave state-of-the-art wine cellar conditioning equipment.

The site presents an overall professional look and feel, simple to navigate with some high quality images used throughout.

Initial impressions are that the site is aimed at people who already know what they are looking for. The layman would benefit from some notes explaining the best conditions in which to keep wines and how the various systems available meet those requirements.

The various wine coolers made by Transtherm are well presented and their functions are clearly explained, but there is no easy way to place an order. What’s more, the company contact details are not prominently displayed on every page requiring the user to hunt around for the ‘contact us’ option.

If a user enters the Smartcave section of the website, dedicated to specialised wine cellar environment conditioning units, there are no contact details and no way of placing an order.

The website is clearly aimed at the wine connoisseur who needs specialised wine cooling and preservation equipment to store and look after their precious wines. The site would be improved by means of a simple online ordering system along with clearly displayed contact details and an explanation of the best conditions in which to store and to serve various wines.
